[AIMSA "Unity in Diversity"] Why does madhesi parties split? By Navin Madhesi

Hello all,

A brief introduction about the political parties of madhes/tarai is given below. The same is attached. We are trying to put together the pieces of facts and form a big picture to analyze what actually lies behind the splits in madhesi parties. Once a madhesi party gains ground support, it starts to divide. Is this inherent nature in the madhesi leaders, or is this due to the external circumstances and influence?

Your inputs regarding the type of internal and external influence in the parties can be an important tool to analyze and study this trend in madhesi parties. The analysis might help the madhesi society in future to maintain unity by identifying the 'split factor' beforehand, and refrain from such undesired 'pollutants' in the future.

You may add other facts that you think is necessary in the text below. Please correct if the given facts are false.  You contribution is welcome and will be acknowledged. The analysis will be shared to all of us. Please mail to madhes@nepal.com

Please circulate it to other people in your network...

Thanking you all in advance,

Regards,

Nabin Madhesi
