Parikrama Curriculum of Janakpur/Mithila
The tradition for faithful devotee for last hundred years was also continued in Mithila Kingdom as "Parikrama" Program, Central Circum Ambulation. Assuming the Janakpur as the Central, this Ambulation it is celebrated for 15days, visiting 15 different Holly Places in the Mithila. The Chief Caravan, Dola (Mithila Bihari's Carvan Dwells) in which the decorated idols of Ram-Sita placed & leads to Parikarma whole Janakpur area, including few places of India. Thousand of devotees, also this time takes parts in this Parikrama. The different holly places are Kalnaheswar, Girijasthan, Mathihani, Jaleshwar, Marai, Drubkuand, Kanchanban, Kshireashwarsthan, Dhanusha, Satokhar, Aurahi, again in Kalnaheswar respecting resting on night at every place. On the 14th days Parikarma will come to Janakpur & on last days it will end by Nagar Parikrama of Janakpur on Falgun Purnima.
Devotees have played Holi by singing songs of Holi in the Kanchanban; according to these devotees God Ramchandra have played Holi in this Place. Every Place have own historical background.
Also I visited these places like Jaleshwar & Dhanushadham during The Parikarma; thousand of devotees are in Parikarma, comparing last many years less number of people in the Parikarma. These peoples including the saints only believe to the God Ram- Sita. Today on 6th March, Parikarma with Dola will reach to Satokhar, yesterday it was in Dhanusha. Special arrangements are made by the local people to all places holly places & also local FM stations are capturing news of the every movement of the Parikarma.with kindest regards,
