[AIMSA "Unity in Diversity"] Madhesi: Either Now or Never ??

Dear All,

There has been a lot of heat generating around the topic "Building a
Global Organization". Though the concept itself is not new, Being
member of Madhesi group, I am really excited to see so much of energy
pouring into this emotional issue.

Since the messages are flowing into public domain, so I may some of
the quotes from the public sources. Please don't take it personal.
This is my hearty request.

Now starting with the topic. "Either Now or Never". Are we into some
fast track race, where Win/Loss is the outcome? If not winning this
time, does it mean, people are lost forever. The madhesi aspiration
and the movement is journey, and it should be taken like that, and it
shouldn't be turned into emotional punch line like "Either Now or
Never". The punch line suggest as if, if you are not part of this
"Building a Global Organization" drive, then you are incompetent, and
the world is becoming black from tomorrow. The punch line seems to be
more like "Political".

What do you mean by Building Organization? I see, the organization is
already in place. One form of realization of this organization is say
"Google group" having people from different locations culminating at a
point. So, what do you people mean when you say "Building a Global
Organization". Do you want to build an apartment in each country or
have a liaison seating with office setup.

If some have idea of formal setup and proper naming for organization,
and keeping Branding in back of mind, then in this context, I will
want to emphasize, we should learn from our/yours own associated
organization. Just try to get some assessment, how much the
organization has achieved, and how much more can be, given its
potential.

The inherent problem in these organizations are fractionalize, people
motivation, resource collection, and identifying the proper working
grounds, and optimum utilization. And a very important issue, which
can badly impact the very foundation of organization, is "Presence of
opportunist" inside group. I know, these problems may not be new, and
may be common to any organization from our land. But, just being
"Madhesi" doesn't guarantee immunity to these issues. As well as I
want to add, the common scenario is, these types of problems have
never helped organization to achieve the desired goals.

I don't want to restrict someone enthusiasm for "Madhesi Cause". But I
want to caution, let's act more like Common man, rather than chatter
box politician. Gathering Madhesis is good idea, but what to do with
that? If publishing few press releases (with madhesi logo on it) is
all that is intended, it will not interest common people. Rather first
decide some tangible plans, say building school, hospital or providing
scholarship to underprivileged etc, than "Build a Global Organization"
to implement it. And In this process, let every one come with good
plan, and every time "Build a Global Organization" to implement it".
We don't want a single "Global Organization", rather many such "Global
Organization" with many good tangible plans, which will improve the
quality of life on ground zero.

Thanks,
Ram Manohar
